Evidence Base

Expert Review*:

Drugs on the Brain is an engaging series of animated videos that provide brief, factual information about four illegal drugs. The series is well-produced and uses interesting pop-art graphics to illustrate its key points. The animated depiction of neurochemical effects within the brain will help young people to understand how these drugs influence perceptions, emotions and behaviour in the short and long-term. When viewed as a series, the videos can be a useful way to highlight the similarities and differences across different drugs. Given their brevity, these videos would provide a useful introduction or conversation starting point.
