Summary

Presented by Dr Alexandre Guerin and co-hosted by Positive Choices and Cracks in the Ice, this webinar is for school staff, parents, and any health professionals interested in learning more about methamphetamine use in youth and its association with health, functional and cognitive outcomes.

This webinar will summarise up-to-date evidence on health, functional and cognitive outcomes associated with methamphetamine use in youth, with the aim to identify targets for the development of future research and interventions. We will also present a brief overview of current trials testing new treatments for young people who use methamphetamine.

Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.

About the speaker

Dr Alexandre Guerin is Research Fellow at the Centre for Youth Mental Health, University of Melbourne, and a Project Manager at Orygen. His research focuses on testing new psychosocial and pharmacological treatments for young people with problematic substance use and related harms.
